Building a Tideway

The photographs below show Tideways under construction by Tideway Dinghies (GRP) and Good Wood Boat Co (clinker) - links to their websites are at the bottom of the page.

No plans exist for the Tideway and they can only be built by builders who have been licensed to use the Tideway trademark by the Tideway Owners’ Association. For the keen amateur “boat builder” who wants to try their hand at clinker boat building older tideways are often available. These may require anything from from a simple re-varnish to more extensive rebuilding including rib and plank replacement.
